Week 7

1/11/2013

Dear Baby B,

Well...Morning sickness is in full swing! So much so, that I had to call in sick to work multiple days this week. The thought of eating or drinking anything (even water) made me want to throw up (which I did). Luckily, after five days of struggling the doctor gave me some medication to help stop the enzymes in my body that are making me so sick (and they work great!). And, yes, I tried ever home remedy for morning sickness out there; ginger snaps, ginger chews, sports drinks, ginger ale, saltine crackers, B6 vitamins...there was so many things I can't think of them all. I guess I am like Kate Middleton (The Duchess of Wales...she is expecting too...and had been hospitalized for severe morning sickness...I didn't get that bad...luckily).

So let's see, it's been pretty uneventful since I have been so sick, but here is what's been going on. I got a few more maternity clothes to add to my collection. I love my small belly belt which allows me to stay in my "skinny" jeans! You're dad tried to find your heart beat (he thinks we might be having twins!), but we didn't have too much luck with that. . And we took our picture for the baby bump announcement, thanks to your talented Unkie Jessie.

You are now the size of a blueberry, and doubled in size this week. You're brain is developing and becoming more and more complex every day. You're face is also becoming more sophisticated as your eyes and ears continue to develop. Little arms, legs, hands, and feet are also beginning to form. You also have an appendix and pancreas. You're umbilical cord has also developed. Every week you amaze me. -XOX!
